Simi Peak, China Flat HIke from Lindero Canyon,

Lahikers,

I am glad I made it home in time! Deepa is gone to downtown (for hiking and shopping LOL) and I am here babysitting Arian. He is sleeping so I am having fun time with my computer right now...Let me share a joke...

**************An artist, a lawyer, and a computer scientist are discussing the merits of a mistress.
An artist tells of the passion, the thrill which comes with he risk of being discovered.
A lawyer warns of the difficulties. It can lead to guilt, divorce, bankruptcy. Not worth it. Too many problems.
A computer scientist says "It's the best thing that's ever happened to me. My wife thinks I'm with my mistress. My mistress thinks I'm home with my wife, and I can spend all night on the computer"**************

I just posted some pictures under Simi Peak album on Google:http://picasaweb.google.com/whydoineedausername
(This 2MP broken Nikon I bring on hikes is my another "hiking buddy". Its LCD is broken and I find it 'adventurous' to use it because I can not make any set up changes-like exposure, flash, macro or scene modes- nor can I see any picture after I take it! Like an old fashioned Film camera, I have to wait to see my pictures and I have to use the view-finder- not LCD- to take pictures! This is a real point-and-shoot camera of mine!)

EyeFetch, this my recent addiction. Look at some of our hiking pictures there under lahikers:

(You can also see all of my pictures, includin some great pictures of Yosemite, too at

Today's hike turned out to be a great fun. Thanks to everyone for showing up in time. Special thanks to Sreeni, Anukul, Hardik for bringing food items to share. Thanks to Manu for adding fun to this tough hike and thanks to Ravi for showing interest in buying Lahikers' hiking insurance! Thank you Biju for bringing camera and taking pictures of all of us-we can't wait to see them- and it was good of you, Krishna, to be with us after saying goodbye to all of us yesterday. We will miss you on our future LAHikers' hikes. Maybe some day, when this fukkad LAhikers club becomes rich with Google Adsense on our blog (LOL), we all will go to some great Grand Canyon hike together in your soon-to-be home state of Arizona. All the best to you my friend.

Suman, we missed you, particularly at certain points where I was confused which trail to take to reach to the peak. I am doing one thing here to LAHikers joint vision about a nice hiking blog. I am practicing blogging by writing in this email! Let us add this email as first entry to our hiking blog.

I know it was a tough hike but we all made it today and I am just curious to know who of us LAhikers made it to this line of this loooooooooong email today!

Thank god Arian is waking up so I got to stop making this email any longer.(Let me know if someone is looking for a cell phone plan. I am tired of t-mobile. I ordered Moto Q with Sprints (under employee referral program) for net -50$ (I make money if/when I get 150$ rebate) with 500 minutes for 30$. Unlimited nights and weekends starting 7PM and unlimited PCS vision- internet. No activation fee but you need to signup for a 2 year plan.)

Have a great weekend.Thanks.Jayesh Patel
